HOW MUCH IS THE RENTAL FEE AND DEPOSIT FOR PRIVATE EVENTS?

The Coterie Concept is available for daily, weekend and weekly rentals with a 50% non-refundable deposit required at the time of the booking. The rental rates are as follows:

$175/hour (4hr min)

IS THE RENTAL FEE AND DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?

The rental fee and deposit are non-refundable. If for any reason you are unable to participate in your scheduled event date, your rental fee and deposit will be transferred to an agreed upon future date.

 

HOW IS THE COTERIE CONCEPT RETAIL SPACE RESERVED?

Once your application is approved, you are able to reserve The Coterie Concept for daily, weekend and weekly rentals. Current availability can be viewed on our booking page for pop-ups:

 

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your rental date for private events or pop-up booking.

IS WIFI AVAILABLE IN THE COTERIE CONCEPT RETAIL SPACE?

Yes, a secure WIFI connection is available for use inside the retail space

 

IS ONSITE PARKING AVAILABLE?

Yes, paid parking is available in the parking deck as well as limited free street parking.

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES YOUR VENUE HOLD?

The Coterie Concept is an intimate setting and holds approximately 30-40 guests at one time.

 

CAN THE VENUE BE RESERVED OUTSIDE OF YOUR BUSINESS HOURS?

Yes. If you would like to rent our venue for a private event,

please complete the contact form for Private Event rentals.

 

DO YOU ALLOW FOOD TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE VENUE?

You are welcome to bring your own food and/or use a caterer of your choice for your private event. The Coterie Concept does not have a kitchen, nor a refrigerator for food preparation or storage. We do not provide any napkins, dining ware, flatware or serving utensils.

 

CAN OUTSIDE ALCOHOL/LIQUOR BE SERVED DURING MY PRIVATE EVENT?

If you would like to serve any alcoholic beverages involving liquor at your event, you will need to obtain a special permit from the NC ABC Commission, as our permit only covers wine. We charge a corkage fee for any liquor, beer, or outside wine being brought into our establishment. You will also be responsible for providing your own mixers, ice, cups, etc. for anything you bring in to serve outside of our menu offerings.

CAN WE USE OUR OWN BARTENDER?

Only the staff of the Coterie Concept are permitted to handle alcohol.

 

​MAY WE BRING OUR OWN DECORATIONS?

Yes, you may bring your own directions, however we do not allow furniture removal or adhering anything to the walls.

CAN WE HIRE A DJ FOR OUR EVENT?

Yes, you are welcome to hire a DJ for your event.

 

DO YOU PROVIDE A BLUETOOTH CONNECTION FOR MUSIC?

Yes, we have a sound bar for connecting your music.

Pop-up Rental Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS PROVIDED WITH THE COTERIE CONCEPT RENTAL FEE?

We provide full use of The Coterie Concept retail space and fixtures for the duration of your outlined rental. Businesses are required to provide their own branded signage, décor, methods to accept payments and any other items needed for your setup.

HOW ARE BUSINESSES SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COTERIE CONCEPT?

Interested businesses are encouraged to request the space via our pop-up booking page.
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. If approved, your desired date will be reserved, and a non-refundable 50% deposit will be required to confirm the date.

WHAT TYPES OF BUSINESSES ARE APPROVED TO

PARTICIPATE AT THE COTERIE CONCEPT?

All businesses, services and events are considered for rental opportunities with the exception of the following categories:

Political or religious based paraphernalia

CBD or hemp derived products

Multi-level marketing or direct sales

Firearms 

Illegal or controlled substances

Any type of pharmaceuticals

 

DOES MY BUSINESS HAVE TO BE REGISTERED IN THE STATE OF NC

TO PARTICIPATE AT THE COTERIE CONCEPT?

Yes, businesses are required to be registered to sell goods/services

in the state of NC in order to participate at The Coterie Concept.

 

IS A NC SALES AND USE TAX ID REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE

AT THE COTERIE CONCEPT?

Yes, this information is required from participating businesses and will be

requested during the application process.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENTS SHOULD I ACCEPT IN THE RETAIL SPACE?

To maximize sales potential, we recommend businesses accept all forms of payment including major credit cards

CAN THE COTERIE CONCEPT RETAIL SPACE BE SHARED
AMONGST MORE THAN ONE BUSINESS?

Yes! We encourage businesses to network with other complimentary businesses and partner on an event date. Each participating business will have to be approved through the application process.
